Authorize once through Fathom's official sign-in. The extension uses Fathom's API, so it only ever reads recordings your account already has access to. No password is ever shared with us. For the fastest bulk exports, you can instead paste a Fathom API key, which pulls transcripts in batches and works on every Fathom plan.

How many Fathom transcripts can I bulk export at once?

There is no cap. The extension pages through your entire Fathom library, so customers routinely pull 200, 500, or more transcripts in a single run. Larger libraries simply take a little longer to package into the ZIP.

What is included in each exported transcript?

Every file contains the full speaker-attributed transcript with timestamps, plus the meeting title, date, and attendee list in the header. You can optionally include Fathom's highlights and action items, so each transcript is self-contained and ready to search or feed into an AI tool.

What file formats can I export to?

Markdown, plain text (.txt), JSON, and CSV. Markdown is the most popular because it keeps speaker formatting and pastes cleanly into Notion, Obsidian, ChatGPT, Claude, and NotebookLM.

Will new Fathom meetings export automatically afterward?

Yes. After the initial bulk export, the Pro auto-sync option pulls each new Fathom recording as it is processed, so your local transcript archive stays current without re-running the full export.

Is bulk exporting my Fathom transcripts allowed?

Yes. The export uses Fathom's official API and only ever touches recordings you already own or have access to. TranscriptExporter is an official Fathom partner, and the transcripts are your own data.

Do I need a paid Fathom plan?
