Export Fathom Transcripts to Notion

The short answer: export your Fathom transcripts as markdown files, then import them into Notion, where each transcript becomes its own page. Fathom doesn't offer bulk transcript export to Notion, so the export step needs a dedicated tool. After that, Notion's import handles the rest natively.

The result is a real meeting archive: every conversation your team has had, searchable from the same workspace where your docs, projects, and CRM already live. Notion AI Q&A can answer questions from it, and teammates who were never on the call can read what happened.

How to do it, step by step

Bulk export from Fathom as markdown

Install the TranscriptExporter Chrome extension, connect Fathom, choose .md format, and export. Files are named with the meeting title and date, which becomes the Notion page title on import.

Import into Notion

In Notion: Settings & members → Import → Markdown, and select your unzipped transcript files. Or drag .md files directly into an open page. Each file becomes a page with the transcript formatted and readable.

Organize into a database (recommended)

Move the imported pages into a "Meetings" database and add properties: Date, Client, Meeting Type, Owner. Now you can filter to "all calls with Acme in Q2" or "all discovery calls" in two clicks, and relate meetings to your existing CRM or project databases.

Let the team use it

Notion search and Notion AI Q&A now cover your meeting history. New teammate onboarding, deal handoffs, "what did we tell this client" disputes: answered from the archive instead of from memory.

Common questions

Will the speaker names and timestamps survive the import?

Yes. The markdown export preserves speaker labels and timestamps as text, and Notion renders them as readable formatted content.

Can new meetings land in Notion automatically?

Not directly into Notion, but the Pro upgrade auto-syncs new recordings to Google Drive or Dropbox, and you can re-import the latest batch periodically. Many teams do a monthly import as a 5-minute ritual.

Is there a limit on how many pages I can import?

Notion handles large imports well. For libraries over a few hundred meetings, import in batches by month or quarter so the operation stays snappy and any failure is easy to retry.
